  • a great holiday at samran

    the tighe family (August 24th, 2011) - total 88%

Thank you so much for everything, your kind attention, help and advice, all made it so much easier.

We had a great holiday at Samran, and will certainly come back in future.

  • The accommodation was family orientated

We have been back just over a week from Baan Ma Prao Oon villa and already missing it. The accommodation was family orientated and homely and quite modern.  We used the pool and facilities almost every day. We have a 2 year old and 5 month old, I was originally concerned that there was no pool gate, however the design of the door locks provided excellent security so that our two year old couldn’t escape! The rooms were roomy and luxurious with king sized beds!!  My 5 month old loved her portable cot as she could roll around in it (mosquito net was also beneficial).

Ray was truly amazing and accommodating it every way, we had a least 20 emails prior to arriving in Koh Samui.  The Gym was state of the art. All bedrooms had air con, could probably use an air con if we were to be picky in the living area. The pool and house was cleaned mid stay.

Maenam  had wonderful eateries and really cheap, the walking market was the  best we went to out of several. Seaview was a beautiful meal, and delivered to us on the last night as the rental car needed to go back! Yes you do need a car! No need to fear as the Thais drove slow and was quite courteous.  All and all a wonderful time had by all 7 of us, weather was perfect and we wished we stayed two weeks not one. It truly was a beautiful country, food and people. Thanks so much to Ray and his staff…

  • 1st time in Koh Samui

    Yvonne Terry (April 28th, 2011) - total 90%

We stayed in January 2011 and we had a fab time. There was everything that we needed at the villa. The garden was beautiful and the pool was the star attraction for our children. We ate very well at all the restaurants we visited,(we visited at least 14!) not one complaint about the food. You really need a car but everywhere is so close by so it's not like you're spending hours driving. I'd like to say thank you for letting us rent your beautiful home and thanks to Stuart for all his help.

Big thank you to Ross and Alison, we had an amazing time in Koh Samui in September, 2010. The house is perfect in every sense - big enough for a group of 6. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Stuart and Aa were always on hand when needed and the facilities surrounding the villa are great. thanks again......till next time Karolina Brembor and Group England

    Hi Stuart & Aa,

Sorry it’s taken us some time to write this email. Thank you and Aa very much for all your help in arranging our holiday. Aa was particularly helpful with our requests, sorry for the repeated calls! We had some lovely meals at the restaurants she recommended also. Please pass on our thanks. We hope to visit again in the future!

    Best regards from Hong Kong

  • a fantastic holiday

eddie and annette herbert (April 29th, 2008) - total 80%

We had a fantastic holiday. The villa was truly a home from home. Beautiful gardens and we loved the pool. Samran Gardens is quiet, clean and very well kept. Ate super meals at at Mummy's, a local restaurant and also visited a local bar/restaurant right on the beach. Fantastic for beer O'Clock and to watch the incredible sunsets.
A must for soaking up the ambience and the essence of Koh Samui. If you are fortunate enough to visit, do ask Stuart's advice about places to eat as his recommendations are brilliant.
There was only one fault with our holiday - it ended!!
A very big thank you to the owners of the villa and Stuart
  • stayed in baan ma prao oon for the second time

herbert and andrea kunst (April 25th, 2008) - total 78%

We have now arrived back home in Austria. Since we have stayed in Baan Ma Prao Oon for the second time for a longer period of time now, our evaluation can once again only be positive. A quiet, very private and undisturbed environment, a great house and very professional service. Very lovingly cared for flora, just anything you need in order to relax after a stressful year. Trouble-free reservation as well as payment process.

Perhaps if I may some comments which could be considered, the terrace furniture is very attractive but maybe some thicker cushions, and maybe a hand rail for the swimming pool steps.

I hope that I could give you a few suggestions for an even more perfect stay.

    Nice regards,

    Herbert and Andrea Kunst
    Austria

Thank you Herbert for your valuable comments, the owner has had 4 thicker cushions made and is looking at having the pool steps coated in a non slip material.

    Kind regards,

Just come back from a wonderful holiday in Koh Samui.
The facilities of the villa and the helpfulness of the staff made a big difference to the success of the trip. With two children of 12 and 10 and a niece of 18 months it was great to have the pool and the space and freedom the villa offered.
It felt very safe and secluded but was well within reach of the great beaches and restaurants nearby.
Thanks all for a marvelous time.
