Ko Samui was love at first sight. One hour after take off in Bangkok we saw the entire island through the aircraft window. We were immediately clicked by the view of the small island, wholly covered by a tropical-green forest, surrounded by the deep blue water of the Gulf of Thailand.
Few days later we were entirely captured. The golden beaches, the hidden cloves, the inner forest grooved by creeks and waterfalls, the picturesque ring road that would take us around the island in one hour drive, the tranquility of the resorts contrasting with the jazziness of the night life, the convenience of full-scaled tourist services that have not yet completely destroyed the primeval atmosphere - all together made it the perfect holiday spot, a place where you want to come again, and again, and again.
Two years after that first visit, we completed the construction of our own house in Ko Samui. Located on a hilltop in the exclusive Santi Thani neighborhood, overlooking the ocean and the sunset, surrounded by a carpet of coconut trees, shrouded by absolute silence - nothing heard but the crickets, yet only 5 minutes from the northern beach and 20 minutes from bustling Chaweng Beach. We called it Baan Waan, which means in Thai "sweet house".
Because we built it for ourselves, we put in everything we would like to find in a dream holiday villa - 3 bedrooms, a sizeable private swimming pool, a large garden, a romantic master bedroom with a jacuzzi in the balcony, an atelier, porches and full openings to the breathtaking view on every room, 3 lavish bathrooms, a garage, air-condition, fan and mosquito nets in every room, a fully equipped kitchen, a maid unit, and more.
If you plan a vacation in Ko Samui, for a family, a group of friends, or even as a single person looking for the ultimate retreat., for many of us Ko Samui is pretty far away. We travel that far because we dream about a prefect holiday. What makes a perfect holiday? You will probably agree that it is the service that makes the difference.
As the owners of Villa Baan Waan, we are proud to invite you to be our guests and enjoy a truly distinctive hospitality. Our commitment starts at the moment you make the first contact with us. Besides endeavoring to provide every detail of information, if you still have any question, we will promptly reply to inquiries.
The kitchen is all yours, and is very well equipped, including a refrigerator with drinking water dispenser, an extra mini-bar for drinks, a stove, a hood, a microwave oven, an electric kettle, an electric rice cooker, pots and pans, an exclusive china set, a potable water filtering system.
Should you prefer to be taken care for your eat-in meals, we can arrange shopping and cooking service for a nominal charge. Similarly we can arrange a reliable babysitter.
Every dream has an end. We will make this end as smooth as possible. We will transfer you to the airport, or if you had us arranging a rental vehicle for you - we will be there at the check-in ramp to collect the key and greet you for a safe flight back.
