I wanted to let you know what a wonderful holiday we all had, not least because of the superb customer service given by you and Nick particularly. For example, your being so flexible with the number of people in our party to stay at Baan Grand Vista, arranging for us to stop over at another beautiful villa while we waited for our villa to be ready, allowing us to have a late departure at no extra cost, arranging bike pick up and return for Graham ...
- and a huge thank you also for Nick who ran around after us late into one evening so we could ensure all the paper work was in order and we could get an air ticket booked for our youngest daughter to join us from the UK.
How you looked after us was exceptional. Then of course our villa was palatial, in a beautiful location with fantastic views.
The in-house staff were also lovely – unfailingly friendly and helpful with everything and going out of their way to make everything relaxed and easy for us. We ate in quite a lot and the meals were lovely – easily as good and often better than when we ate out at restaurants. Our rooms were always cleaned beautifully. Whatever we suggested (e.g. picnic, barbecue) was done without any hesitation. This is why we keep coming back to Thailand, the people are so lovely.

Hi Lee,
I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know we had a fantastic time in the villa last week. It all went far too quickly, as is usually the case.
If anything it exceeded our expectations. We were well looked after by Jeb & King, and the food was excellent. I stayed in the 6 senses over in Koh Yao Noi earlier this year and the food we had last week was every bit as good as what we were getting there.
As you would have been told by Nick, we decided not to even bother looking at any other villas, so impressed we were with the one we were in. I will most defiantly be back, and Matt and Paulo were also equally impressed. I may well look at another trip towards the end of the high season, if I can muster a couple of other friends to come over again.

The value for money for the villa was good. Did not find a better rate during my search in the internet.
Location was suitable. Did not want something too close to chaweng.
The staff were extremely helpful and obliging. The cook cooked excellent food.
The view from our villa was excellent and it was all that we could have asked for and more.
The usage of the web site for our booking was easy to do.
Just some things that could be improved.
The property is beautiful, however with time all things start to fade. Needs some upkeep. One or two lights not working. Light in sauna was not working as well. The satellite TV was down. Some of the speakers were not functioning. Using the buttons for the down light control was a bit confusing. The master bedroom kept getting wet . Don't know why.
All in all i would say that we had a great time in samui. Spent most of the time in the villa. It was just a great place. I would give it a 9/10 rating.

Response from management teamHi Sanveer I am so pleased you had an enjoyable stay with us at Grand Vista. Regarding the maintenance issues you raised we are aware of the electric which can be quite volotile at times on the hill and replacing bulbs is an ongoing battle, just before you arrived we replaced every bulb in the chandalier in the main living room as it is not too easy to get to as I am sure you noticed. The lighting is a digital mood lighting system and there is an over rider on every panel we obviously should have explained this more clearly so my apologies. The speakers are all working again maybe this should have been explained more clearly by our staff. Unfortunatley with the satellite tv we have to rely on a UBC to fix this and sometimes it can take a day or two for them to send an engineer. We hope to see you and your friends again on Samui. Hey,
Loved the place, in all honesty all we spoke about was considering purchasing it. Amazing view. Will be back for sure in the near future. Staff was excellent and always ready to help no matter the time. One addition that I think would really complete the experience of the Villa would be a 10-12 seater car with a driver available for the guests between a specified time period as the Villa is a little high up the hill. All in all one of the most comfortable and fun places I have stayed in. Will be back for sure in the near future.
Just a quick note about the location: 6 (Travelling Up and Down) + 10 (View, the Location) = 8

We stayed at Grand Vista for a week at the end of September/ beginning of October. It was an adult family group of eight - a much anticipated reunion brought about by our daughter's wedding on Koh Samui. The villa proved to be ideal for our gathering. Everyone was very impressed with the luxury of the surroundings, the truly wonderful view over the Gulf and the beautiful and substantial pool. All the bedrooms were spacious and very well appointed, and in particular, the 2 larger bedrooms with balconies. In addition, our own chef and her assistant were there to look after our every need and they did.
Breakfasts were described as Continental, but hot breakfasts were cooked for us daily, along with fruit juices, platters of fruit, and vegetables and cheese, together with yoghourt if we wished, muesli and toast. We ate in a number of times, and not only did our chef produce delicious and very varied dinners for us, but we were able to host two dinners for other family and friends numbering 15 - 20 people. These were very successful and all the staff worked very hard to make these evenings highly enjoyablel. It was delightful to eat overlooking the gulf and swimming pool and certainly added to the success of our daughter's very special week. I really liked hosting a dinner party for which I had no work to do!
We all liked the spaciousness of the property, so that eight of us had plenty of room to relax and be either sociable or solitary as we wished. Everyone loved the pool.
All the booking details and numerous questions on our side were very promptly dealt with by the staff at Luxury Villas, and car hire was easily arranged for our maximum convenience. I was sorry that we didn't organise a boat trip through them too as the one we organised ourselves was not ideal.
As extra notes, we looked after our very active 15 month old grandson for a couple of days and nights and it was great to have a free high chair and cot provided by the villa team . However, we had to watch him like a hawk at all times because this property is not suitable for young children as the many balconies are very open and there are lots of places where a toddler can fall or hurt themselves. Older children of seven and up, say, would love it.
The location is beautiful, quiet and in a commanding position, and also cooler and without mosquitos, unlike the humid beach area. The only disadvantage is that it is a bit out of the way, and taxi drivers were unfamiliar with its location and often unwilling to come up the steep road. A rental car is therefore essential ( or scooters) and it would help to have the name of the property on the outside of the building and some signs along the hillside road for visitors. It is much nearer to the Bophut Fisherman's village than to some of the other more crowded beach areas, and this suited us well as we much preferred the Bophut area and its restaurants to the Chewang district.
We can certainly wholeheartedly recommend this property for a wonderful stay in Koh Samui.

The Grand Vista Villa is fantastic and the infinity pool, in particular, is sensational!
We spent many hours sitting in the pool (with a drink in hand of course!) looking out on the fantastic view. The staff were fantastic - so friendly and helpful. Jeab (spelling??) did a great job catering for us and assisting us with anything we required.
We have many many photos that we can look at to keep us going until we are at the Grand Vista again.
